Pretest training is available to all Union members.  The Pretest instructors are UNION members whose job it is to train you with the proper test taking skills.  We urge everyone to take the classroom training which will give you the insight beyond the material in order to qualify for all job families.

The Pretest training classes include those for the UTB-R (Universal Test Battery-Revised) which has replaced the other initial test for employment, as well as classes for other tests you need to take for the different job titles. The UTB-R has seven sections which will qualify you for different jobs within the company. The UTB-R test sections include:

• Reading Comprehension
• Math
• Number Series
• Spatial Visualization
• Clerical Speed and Accuracy
• Spelling
• C.A.B.L.E. (Which is similar to an interview).

As you can see most of us have not done some of these basics in some time. Any training received can only benefit you. Take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your Union Career. Even though you may
not think you need the test, you are eligible to take it now.
